why does tin foil not get hot in the oven?

im sure there is a commonly known answer but, i dont know it. i mean, i just pulled a pan of lasagna out of the oven and, if i touch any part of the pan with my bare hands, i am going to the emergency room. but, the tin foil covering the top is room temperature...weird.

That is so true. I can get scorched by the pan, and touch the tin foil literally 1 second after i open the oven, and it is like 90 degrees.
